2017 Shorthorn Youth Expo

Entries are now up to over 100 participants for the 2017 Shorthorn Youth Expo to be held in Tamworth this year.

The SYCA Expo will run over the long weekend, from Saturday September 30th to Monday October 2nd and feature a program of both education and fun designed to assist Shorthorn Beef Youth members learn new skills as well as make life long friendships and contacts.

This years Shorthorn Youth committee are working harder than ever to bring the event to a successful fruition and Youth Club President, Lochie Collins, says that the 2017 Shorthorn Youth Expo is shaping up to be a tremendous event.

With the increased number of entries, the Youth Committee are now calling for suitable ballot heifers from anyone who may be able to assist with show heifers over the long weekend.

The Expo will also feature key scholarships including scholarships to both the USA and New Zealand and a scholarship to the Tasmanian Junior Beef expo for one lucky recipient. In order to assist with this, Shorthorn youth are also calling for sponsors for these scholarships, to assist them with costs involved.

Sponsorship can be given in the form of goods and/or services to be auctioned at the annual Shorthorn youth dinner.
