Media release seeking entries for the 2022 Southern Grainfed Carcase Classic

WANT a chance to see how your genetics measure up against other cattle from southern Australia both in the feedlot and in the chiller?

The organisers of the 2022 Southern Grainfed Carcase Classic are seeking expressions of interest from breeders and backgrounders keen to enter one or multiple teams.

The proposed delivery date for the teams of 10 steers is Monday, January 31 with the cattle to be fed at Teys Charlton feedlot in the Vic Mallee for 100 to 120 days.

Presidents Report – 2021 The Year That Was

 As I write this final report for 2021, I reflect back on what has been an amazing year in the beef industry.  High prices have become the norm as records seem to tumble week after week throughout the saleyards and through the online format.  Bull sales have followed suit from the seedstock producers with outstanding results achieved from the Autumn right through to the Spring.  This was all achieved with COVID lockdowns being the norm for most states as the uncertainty of what lies ahead for some form of normality.

Shorthorn Beef and its employees, agents, officers or staff cannot arrange or except any payment whatsoever on behalf of vendors or from purchasers in regards to any lot offered.

 

6.0 Registration

You agree and authorise The Shorthorn Society of Australia and its employees, agents, officers or staff to forward to the listed vendor/s of each lot/s you have nominated your intention to purchase, your registration details and your intention to purchase for each lot/s.

6.1 In order to access the services provided on this website, you must become a registered user. You must complete registration by providing certain information as set out on our registration page.

6.2 You agree to ensure that your registration details are true and accurate at all times and you undertake to update your registration details from time to time when they change.

6.3 We reserve the right to terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms and conditions.

Please be advised that all lots sold do not include any shipping or freight costs and that the purchaser will be responsible for all shipping, dispatch, freight and any other subsequent costs that arise.

Shorthorn Beef and its employees, agents, officers or staff cannot make or accept any shipping arrangements on behalf of vendors or purchasers in regards to any lot offered.

8.1 The delivery of all orders becomes the responsibility of the buyer. All costs including delivery, fuel and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer to their chosen freight company or collection point.

We will not be held responsible or liable to the goods if damages occur by the third party freight carrier.
