Youth shine at the Melbourne Royal Show this year

Judged by Troy Setter the younger champions under his eye went on to dominate the showing.

Sprys Carnation N16 exhibited by D & M Spencer and G & L Spry was firstly sashed Junior Champion Female and went on to take out Supreme Exhibit. The heifer displayed tremendous volume, great femininity throughout and covered the ground well.

Royalla Uptown N194 exhibited by Royalla Shorthorns was the Junior Champion bull with the judge quoting that the young sire had great retail beef yield. Uptown went on to be sashed Grand Champion Bull.

Junior champion bull: Royalla Uptown N194, a Royalla Renegade K272 son, exhibited by Royalla Shorthorns.

Reserve junior champion bull: Sprys Extra Special N61, sired by Muridale Thermal Energy 15A, exhibited D & M Spencer and G & L Spry

Junior champion female: Sprys Carnation N16, sired by Royalla Rembrandt K413, exhibited D & M Spencer and G & L Spry.

Reserve junior champion female: Sprys Lavendar N112, sired by Royalla Rembrandt K413, exhibited D & M Spencer and G & L Spry

Senior champion bull: Royalla Trigger M246, sired by Royalla Quantum J392, exhibited by Royalla Shorthorns.

Senior champion female: Finley High School Kathleen, sired by Sprys Patents Ace, exhibited by Finley High School.

Reserve senior champion female: Finley High School Millie, sired by Eloora Baker G31, exhibited by Finley High School.

Grand champion bull: Royalla Uptown N194, Royalla Shorthorns.

Grand champion female: Sprys Carnation N16, exhibited D & M Spencer and G & L Spry.
